Explorations in Consciousness,  Metaphysical Musings

MIND and MATTER

From years of study, classes, religious examination, and life experiences, I have come to realize that we human beings are transformers and transmitters of consciousness.  Our thoughts, when combined with intention, appear to organize and direct movement of quantum form into outcome.

What we think, say and do can ultimately materialize. This is a powerful position to be in, because it means our behavior affects not just our own lives, but others and the world.

Of course there can be a long distance between wanting to believe that we are co-creators and knowing how this works. For me it began with studying metaphysical teachings and conducting experiments. I trained in the small things, starting with a simple lesson in manifesting a parking space. When a spot opens up just when you need it may be a common occurrence, but if you are not conscious about ordering this, it would be easy to overlook as coincidence.

Many small manifestations happen throughout the day but we are not always aware of the connection between what we are seeking and what is showing up. Another simple example is when we are thinking of someone and they happen to call or show up just at that time.

So the first step in manifestation is becoming aware of when you consciously desire something, and watching for when it shows up. This way we see a pattern, and understand that we did have something to do with the outcome. It’s important to spend a lot of time in this first stage and this process of attunement.

As you move on and up the ante toward bigger things in life, doubt may creep in. But having trained in the small things you will have enough evidence that helps build the faith needed to take bigger steps.

For example, you might be looking for just the right property to buy. You don’t have a job yet but you have the down payment which is most of your savings. The owner agrees to give you three months with the rent being applied to the purchase price. After that, you must perform. You do it, knowing deep down inside it is right for you and the job will show up.

But month one and month two slip by and no job. Finally at the last moment, you find just the right job. Whew! The point is that like working out in the gym, muscles don’t appear overnight. Small successes give you the confidence to move to bigger challenges.

Also note that when you want something that is not at the expense of someone else, or that large number of others are competing for, the universe seems to respond much quicker. Because energy in always manifesting in various forms and intensities, some outcomes will be easier to achieve than others. Hence the complexity of life as we know it.  If I want to win my tennis match, my partner has to lose, but he wants to win also.

There are desires and outcomes that can come at no expense to others, such as how you personally want to feel. The idea here is to think about what you want and why. If for example you want a particular item like a new car or a better neighborhood in which to live because you believe it will make you feel happier, then why not also ask for happiness itself.  This way it can show up in a number of forms, allowing the Universe to have a much larger palette with which to work.

Since we do not work solely with our own energies, but those of others, in their various forms and intensities, there is a complexity to all of this.  We are swimming in a sort of cosmic soup surrounded by all kinds of beliefs and actions regarding power, morality, justice, empathy, etc., coupled with varying degrees of intent, discipline and perseverance.

So you can see that the stewing pot we exist in could produce countless outcomes. As you become more aware of just what is going on inside, you might then consciously organize your thoughts and intentions to be in alignment with your best interests and higher purpose.

I once attended a class called the “Academy.” The teacher made the statement that the quality of your life depends upon the questions that you ask. Another layer of manifestation then is asking questions with a great deal of desire, almost like a demand. In this way the energy will go forth and organize the quantum elements that would eventually lead to an answer.

Ultimately this is about opening up, attuning to the energies of the universe and forming a relationship with that energy. As we open our minds, we also learn to open ours hearts. With the mind and heart combined and united with the energies of the universe, there are endless possibilities.
